3 months old!!

My sweet baby boy is now 3 whole months old. Where has the time gone? We were in Jackson's room this afternoon and Chad suggested that I replace one of Jackson's pictures with a more current one. I advised him I would not be doing this because that picture is the only reminder in his room of my "little" baby boy. He has changed so much and grown so much since that picture was taken. Here are some pictures to show you how he has changed

At 3 months

As I have said before yes I want him to grow up and learn to do new things (like sleep all night haha), but I also want him to do it very slowly. Most of you know I do not like to be pregnant. I do not glow, I get anemia, diabetes, high blood pressure and I am sick. So Jackson will be my last baby. And if he could be Mommy's little boy as long as possible I would appreciate it!!

Now I have promised a blog for our recent trip and I will get it done either later tonight or tomorrow just depending on when Jackson lets me!! Oh yea and I know Jackson is a Mommy's boy and as I have said before since I carried him 9 months I think I deserve for him to be a Mommy's boy at least until he can walk (then I am sure he will prefer Daddy).

Jackson's 1st Bama Game at 12 weeks old

This Saturday Jackson went to his 1st Alabama game. At 1st we were nervous about taking him to a game because there was no way we could know how he could do but he did wonderful. Prior to the game we tailgated with our friends Shane, Brandi, and Hannah Claire Miller at her Mom and Jack's RV. We had Dreamland Ribs and some wonderful cornbread salad. Then we left and rode the shuttle to the stadium. Jackson of course had to eat as soon as we sat down in the stadium. Then he stayed awake the rest of the 1st quarter. He slept through the 2nd quarter and woke up to hear the Million Dollar Band's halftime show. Then he wanted to eat again during the 3rd quarter. Now this was way earlier than he should have wanted to eat but to keep the peace he got to eat. Then he slept though the 4th quarter and most of the way back to the RV. Here are some pictures from the wonderful day!

Jackson took a power nap prior to going to the game.

Jackson and Hanna Claire in their Bama gear. She is a little over 2 months older than Jackson. Jackson needed a shoulder to lean on (and of course he found a pretty girl to lean on)!Jackson chillin' in the RV
Jackson watching the game it was a little to warm to wear pants. I have a new program that allows me to edit a picture I thought this was pretty cool that I could take all the color out except for Jackson. Here is a before and after...

It was not pretty at times but it was a win! And so Jackson was happy for his 1st Bama game and win.

Now for our next adventure with him we will be leaving for Gatlinburg on Thursday to stay till Monday. So for you regular readers (I know there are at least 5 of you) I may not blog till we get back but you can always check!!
Oh yea Jackson got a pair of New Balance shoes last week I thought they were so cute so I wanted to share this one last picture with you all.

Eleven weeks old!! oh yea and Roll tide Roll!!!

Jackson says, "Touchdown Bama"!!

Well Jackson is currently celebrating his 11 week birthday with a BIG bottle of milk complete with cereal. As you might have guessed Jackson likes to eat. He likes it so much that when I took him to be weighed last week (when I had to go to the dr.) he was up to 13 lbs 9 oz. So in 2 and a half weeks he gained from 12 lbs 2 oz. He is a growing boy! He has grown so much that we have had to adjust the size of Jackson's favorite place to be.... attached to me in his baby bjorn. At at almost 14 lbs I am getting quite a workout carrying him. But as I have said before I love to have him next to me he it is the sweetest thing.
He has also started to babble much more this week. He makes tons of sounds and laughs more too. I read that it is good to mimic the sounds back to him and I have been doing this and sometimes he mimics me back. Its really cute. I also think that it is important to actually talk to your baby. Jackson loves for you to talk to him. And I am sure some of you know I love to talk to we are a perfect match!! It is actually great to talk to him. I can tell him anything and he just looks at me. He is the perfect chatting companion because he doesn't blab any secret I tell him, he doesn't talk when I talk, and best of all he thinks I am always right! haha!!

Now this blog can't come and go without me at least mentioning the Bama vs. Georgia game!! Wow what a game. I have said for so long that I wanted to go to that game, but so far I have not had it in me to leave Jackson for more than a few hours so it was not an option this time. But of course we watched the game in complete game day attire. Jackson wore his new Bama bib from our friend Law (and Hunter). Maybe its a lucky bib!! We debated taking Jackson to a game this year but we have decided to take him to the Bama vs. Kentucky game this coming Saturday in Tuscaloosa. Right now we are very excited about this (we will see how we feel come about the 4th quarter of the game)!! I am sure you will see lots of pictures next week. Just wish us luck....

In addition, I want to say I met someone I only knew via blogging Saturday. Her husband and Chad are the same age but Brooke has a blog and we met via myspace and then added each others blog. It was really neat for me to met someone it seemed like I already knew. I guess there are many ways to make new friends!!

Double digits

Jackson in his new Bama shirt watch the Tide Roll over the Hogs! (thanks Amanda for the picts)
Oh yea my little guy has dimples!! And he is not afraid to use them!!!

Jackson has hit the double digit mark he is now 10 weeks old! Sometimes it seems like he has been here so much longer and sometimes it just seems like yesterday that I was pregnant and miserable!! But never the less he is here happy and healthy and filling our lives with so much joy!

I really must enjoy this blog thing or I am crazy one! Because right now to type this blog we are sitting in the public library in Scottsboro Jackson is hooked to me in his Baby Bjorn (the best gift I have ever given myself)! Our computer crashed about 2 weeks ago and thankfully it is still under the extended warranty I insisted should be purchased! So for the past few weeks we have been either going to Memaw's or to the library for most of our Internet needs. However I do have limited Internet on my phone so that has helped out a little. (At least it helped Chad to be able to read his Bama message boards). It almost would have been easier to just not blog but I made the decision to blog and I am going to stick with it. I am never sure who if anyone reads the blog but nevertheless I blog on. Maybe it's mostly for me, I went back a few weeks ago and read my 1st few blogs and I actually enjoyed it.... I however did not like the pictures of me being huge but hey it's all part of the process!!

This past weekend was very busy for all of us Friday night we went to eat with MeMaw and Papa in Guntersville. Saturday Jackson's "uncle" Tim and "aunt" Amanda came over for a day long football watching event! And on Sunday Jackson stayed at MeMaw's and we went to Huntsville. Everyone has always said we are on the go a lot and we are! And having Jackson has not really changed that except we have more things to take with us when we go!! So far he has been great every time we are in a restaurant and he loves to be around people. At least as long as Mommy is close by! We are so lucky to have so many people around that love him!! Stay tuned for more of our busy, crazy, fun, and happy life!!

2 months already!

I can't believe that he is already two months old. I am really enjoying my time with him. He is changing so much every day and I am so glad that I am getting to see all of his changes firsthand. He is going through a phase of being a Mommy's boy big time! He has been really attached to me lately. Now don't get me wrong nothing makes me feel better than to know that my little guy wants me, but he can really wear me down sometimes. Chad is still so helpful and I really could not do it without him. He sometimes gets the bad end of the deal because he ends up with Jackson when he is screaming. But he has found that Jackson's favorite thing to do with his Daddy is to stand up and watch TV. (as you will notice he is having a bad hair day in this picture)
He also likes to sit in the corner of the couch and watch tv. He looks like such a little man in this picture.

Jackson celebrated his 2 month birthday yesterday with a trip to Huntsville to meet Tim and Amanda and watch the Bama game at Wings.

8 weeks of pure joy!

Before I start the bulk of this weeks blog I wanted to share a picture that is very special to me. Here is Jackson with one of his Great-Grandmothers. Gran Gran loves Jackson so much and Jackson is so lucky to have her in his life! They say Grandparents spoil their grand kids well Great - Grandparents really spoil them especially with kisses!

Although most of you well know living with an 8 week old can be chaotic but it is wonderful chaos. Jackson is the most amazing little guy and he has truly filled our lives with so much joy. His personality is really starting to take shape. He is calm and easy going most of the time. He must get that from his Daddy. The exception to being calm and easy going is when he wants food. He is the most impatient little guy ever and can have a heck of a temper when he wants a bottle. I guess that he gets that part from me. haha!! He really smiles a lot these days and he is staying awake much more now. It is such a joy for us to watch him grow and change so quickly. As I have said many times I do want him to grow and develop but I also want him to stay my little angel. I am just going to try to take in as much as I can of him each and every day and cherish the wonderful time when we are together.

Jackson showing his happy laid back side.

Jackson showing his temper.

Jackson went to his 2 month check up this past week. He is growing like a little weed. He is up to 12 lbs 2 oz. He actually shrunk a 1/2 inch since his last visit but I have never thought that they measured babies in the most scientific way. I mean it is 2008 and the best we can do is stretch a baby and place marks on a piece of paper.... Oh well anyway he is in the 75% for weight and I feel really good about this. It is nice to get some validation that you are doing things right. He got his 1st shot ever during this visit because we decided to delay his vaccinations. (Meaning he will have all his shots prior to starting school at 5, but he will not have them all by18 months like most children.) And like most parents we hated seeing that needle going into his leg. I mean the needle looks like it is big enough to go through his leg, but I guess it is just part of the deal. It is so wonderful to have such a healthy little one that I can worry about how long his 1st needle stick is and not anything serious. I guess knowing that so many children are not as lucky really puts things in perspective.... We are truly blessed!!!

I am so happy about these

About 2 weeks ago a friend of mine (Ashley Colon) came over to our house and took some wonderful pictures of Jackson and our family. I wanted some pictures that were not the standard photographer shots and she was able to get exactly what I wanted. She took so much time with Jackson and us. You all know children get hungry, fussy, and tired during pictures. Ashley waited through all of these circumstances and got some wonderful pictures because of it. Here are some of the pictures I could not begin to put them all on here but I hope you like these -- I sure do!

ps Don't forget to leave a comment sometimes I hear that so many people read the blog and I would love to know what you think of it.
